Offline Summer Reading

Heat and humidity have rolled into Raleigh, NC meaning that summer is almost here. With summer comes the need for some books to aid in offline reading while traveling or on vacation.

Ben Wills has a great list of social media related books that he found through twitter. while Ben’s list is a very good start I would add a couple of others.

Andy Beal’s Book Radically Transparent is an important read for anyone that cares about their personal or company brand. Andy gives some great insight into online conversations and how to manage your online reputation.

Another fun read though it really isn’t a book about social media is Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss. This book is all about lifestyle design but Tim uses some really interesting case studies, while presenting radical ideas that may offend some and inspire others.

With Ben’s list and these two you have a busy summer of reading, but if fiction is your thing I recommend picking up an old classic like Catcher In The Rye or The Great Gatsby. What ever you do this summer just read something!
